Why 'become' a Law Enforcement Officer?
Most policing problems and abuses are committed by individuals, not institutions. The unfortunate part is the number of individuals committing these unethical and sometimes criminal abuses. And because these abuses are committed intentionally, no amount of training or reform will cause the needed change. Change cannot be forced onto a heart unwilling to change and intending to cause harm to others while protected by a badge and a uniform.

And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you— ask what you can do for your country.
-John F. Kennedy
For this reason, the only solution that can bring any peace of mind to ALL Americans and law enforcement in America, is that African Americans and other people of color BECOME the law enforcement officers that serve and protect the American people.

This will require African Americans, Asians, Caucasians, Hispanics, Latinos, Native Americans, and other American peoples of all ages, but especially the youth, to commit to this ideal so that their children and/or grandchildren will not have to endure the criminal abuses of law enforcement officers because of their race.
